I offer private counselling and therapy in Edinburgh and work in both Lanarkshire and Stirling. In Lanarkshire I work in two GP practices seeing people who are referred by their doctor. In Stirling I work for Stirling and District Association for Mental Health a mental health charity covering the Stirlingshire area.
I enjoy the range and variety of this work. Because these are both general counselling services you get a lot of different people coming with a wide variety of difficulties. Both services are short-term services although structured slightly differently: in Lanarkshire we offer a variable number of sessions - typically somewhere between 4 and 20 - and at SDAMH we work to a fixed 12 sessions.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow their ethical code. I hold a PostGrad Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from Stirling University and Persona Training and Development.
